One of the most sought-after programs of the Gala de l'Union des Artistes. The festivities took place at the Cirque d'Hiver on March 1st 1930.
The luxurious program made for this occasion, was designed by writers and artists of the first rank, namely Pierre de Fouquières, Tristan Bernard, Colette, Henri de Régnier, Dieudonné Coste, Sacha Guitry, André Maurois, Roland Dorgelès and Anna de Noailles for the texts, and Forain, Vertès, Sem, Kees Van Dongen, Cappiello, Raoul Dufy, Sacha Guitry, Vuillard, Pascin and Marie Laurencin for illustrations.
Most of these illustrations are laminated. The one of Van Dongen (stencil and lithograph in colors) is particularly sought after.
Edition at 1500 numbered copies.
Copy enriched with an advertisement for the cabaret Zig-Zag boulevard Haussmann in Paris.
Cover soiled, tears on the spine, wear on the corners. Some spotting and foxing.
