(draft and setting to the net), "It will be suddenly in the city a street"..., "What did they know of me these faces of stone"..., "Perhaps there will be until in my soul"..., "Monday it thought of Tuesday"..., "Yes, I will cover of the lapse of memory"..., "What could thus still make me your words? "..., " When the angel touched my shoulder "... (2 versions), " Our tools broke against this vapor "..., " You who divert the conversation when I approach "..., " And I will see suddenly the giant mountains " ...., " If the guns had been silent " ...., " Woman your body also covers itself with snow "..., " As the one who is appointed ambassador "..., " As the one who forgets that he has amputated an arm "... As a refugee in the provinces, in Moyzarès, near Rodez, he shared his health and money worries; the printing house in Mayenne had been bombed and he had only been able to save a dozen copies of his novel L'Interview (Jean Vigneau, 1944). Back in Paris in October 1944, he was still ill, his wife Colomba was hospitalized, and he survived by doing radio broadcasts in Romanian, "which is rather boring for me because I risk losing the little French I have learned in twenty years of eventful life. [...] I began by publishing a little children's novel (Henrika) myself," but he had to borrow... [In despair, he took his own life on April 9, 1946]. Attached are various typescripts of prose, with some corrections; the first edition of Dîner chez Jeanne Coppel (PAB, 1952) decorated with original collages and signed by Jeanne Coppel (no. 31/35); various papers (his identity card, his membership card of the Société des Gens de lettres), letters from his brother and the teacher of Moyzarès to Jeanne Coppel and her husband, a visiting card a.s. of his wife, and press clippings... Plus the typescript of Petite Histoire de mes rêves de Jacques Borel (34 p. in-4).
