In-8 (21,5 x 15,5 cm). 45, (3) pp: pale grey soft card covers, the first one bearing the title in blue and an original drawing by the artist, a flower in green watercolor and an oval in blue pencil. Joint: an original charcoal drawing (16 x 12 cm). Unique edition of a poetic bestiary realized by Véronique Filozof on the occasion of the fifth birthday of her grandson, Rodolphe. Eight illustrated plates in black which, in this rare copy, have been enhanced with watercolors by the artist. Twenty-eight poems on animals, mostly light quatrains that can be read to children, by the artist's son, Jean-Guy Modin (Basel 1925-2007 Sarlat). Véronique Filozof, born Sandreuter (Basel 1904-1977 Mulhouse), was self-taught, she started with poetry readings in her literary studio where she addressed pretty illustrated cards to the initiated. Enriched with one of these rare invitation cards for one of her "Greniers littéraires". Original charcoal drawing of a double face, recipient and date in turquoise ink on the back, "to Mr. Gangloff invitation, March 8, Thursday, 9pm." Unique copy in perfect condition.
