PIERDA. Pseudonym of Pierre Portelette. The Alphabet of Dzim and Boum. 32 photos of Pierda. Delagrave. Paris. [Circa 1935]. In-8 (23,4 x 19 cm). (30) pp. including back covers: strong paper covers illustrated with the photograph on a red background, two goblins on a turtle on the first one, the same ones, on the back, on the second one, metallic spiral binding. Unique edition. Uncommon album. Primer illustrated by photography by Pierre Portelette (1890-1971). He was hired by Delagrave to create a collection of photographic albums for children. A large central plate per letter, reproduced in heliogravure, plus four pages of "Coucou", alphabets and "Au revoir". Capital and small initial next to the occurrence at the top, small funny sentence at the bottom, all printed in red. Pierda puts in scene two rag dolls, in the shape of elves, in thirty-two art shots. A little Francoise has written her name on the cover.
