An ancient and beautiful head of Guanyin in wood with traces of lacquer, eyes half-closed, the right gaze sketching a slight smile. Her hair, finely chiseled and gathered in a bun, is held back by a crown carved with flowers and clouds decorated with the image of a seated Buddha. China, Ming dynasty (1368-1644), probably 16th century Wood, relics of lacquer, gold and polychromy, important oxidation of age, accidents, visible wear and tear, small restorations to the crown and to the back of the headdress, presented on its wooden base.
