Model 98-05 bayonet with ground teeth.
Steel handle and wooden plates secured with screws and split nuts. Blade signed on the heel "FICHTEL & SACHS SCHWEINFURT", the teeth of which were ground in 1915. It will be rebronzed black in 1918 and a marking: 1920 will be added (limitation of German armament by the Treaty of Versailles). Hallmarked bronze-plated steel scabbard.
