Large bowl decorated with birds in a landscape, Safavid Iran, 17th century High bowl on a circular foot, in siliceous ceramic with underglaze cobalt-blue and black painted decoration of birds of various species (ducks, waders...), in flight, on land or on water in a sinister landscape spread out on the outside of the wall. In the center of the bowl, birds in a circular medallion, a band of cruciform "butterfly" motifs running under the lip. Chinese pseudo-signature under the heel. Diameter: 33.5 cm; height: 16.6 cm Small cracks and chips. A basin with similar decoration and dimensions is preserved at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (2902-1876) and attributed to Iran, in the second quarter of the 17th century.
