Ayyubid and Mamluk ceramic shard, Syria-Egypt, 12th - 15th century Several Mamluk clay ceramic pieces, including three engobed bowl bases with incised or colored slip decoration under transparent glaze, one with a ribbon forming four loops, a second with a bird, and a third with a coat of arms of a master of arms; four ceramic fragments with underglaze green scratched decoration; two bowl bases with underglaze cobalt blue and eggplant painted radiating or bird decoration; one bowl base with blue painted decoration on a white background of a blue rosette. The seven other sherds, probably 12th - 13th century Syrian ceramics with black or polychrome painted decoration under a transparent colored or colorless glaze, one with bird decoration, another with epigraphic decoration.
