Michel CIRY (1919-2018). 30 L.A.S., "La Bergerie"... - Lot 49 - Ader
Michel CIRY (1919-2018). 30 L.A.S., "La Bergerie" Varengeville 1971-1983, and 2 postcards from Toledo and Venice, to Pierre LHOSTE and his wife; 33 pages in-4, 25 envelopes. Friendly letters: annual greetings, Parisian appointments, invitations (in 1978 for a lunch with Jacques de Bourbon-Busset). Ciry regularly sends the volumes of his Journal as they are published (the Buisson ardent in 1973, the 5th volume in 1977). He is very satisfied with his interviews, and thanks Pierre Lhoste "One would talk for hours (poor public!) if well questioned [...] your interview with Le Clezio is of an astonishing life" (9.11.71); "Surely one of my best interviews. Thank you, my dear Pierre, for having given it this tone" (1978); "Thank you for having allowed me to express myself in total freedom, once again! I like that " (1982). In 1979, he was delighted that Plon had agreed to publish Lhoste and encouraged him: "Given your talent as a born chronicler and the variety as well as the importance of the personalities you have met and known well, I have no doubt that this Journal will be fascinating (to make me angry!)". In 1982, he left for Rome where he was to meet John Paul II: "What a joy to approach this great holy man!" Attached is a L.A.S to M. Estrade for the organization of the interview with Pierre Lhoste in 1971 and 2 invitation cards for the opening of his exhibitions Solitude de Jésus (1972) and Peintures et aquarelles (1977, with dedication a.s.).
