Louis PASTEUR (1822-1895). Autograph notes, in the margin of an issue of L'Union médicale (no. 66), May 27, 1880; in-8, 20 p., paperback, blue cardboard slipcase. Annotations concerning a communication to the Académie de Médecine on the study of germs and viruses. Pasteur has underlined several lines concerning himself. In the margin of a passage concerning pox in horses and cows and human vaccines, in which his words have been distorted, he reacts: "Completely inaccurate. It was Mr. Blot who understood this way"; and, further on, on the human smallpox virus: "did not understand"; as for the peremptory demonstrations: "there were none".
