Beautiful letter as Duke of York, fifteen years before his accession to the throne of England.
"Since I have not been allowed to pay my respects to V. Ma. myself by giving me the pleasure of seeing her at Dunkerke as proposed, I did not want to miss sending Sieur Thinne to testify to V. Ma. Ma. of my great displeasure at not having had her, and at the same time to assure her of the continuation of my most humble respects"...
