Rare document in which the pseudo-baron de Richemont has Madame Royale summoned to have him recognized as Louis XVII.
"I, the undersigned Louis-Charles de France, Duke of Normandy, designated and known in the world by the fact of revolutionary circumstances and events, under the given names and surnames of Ethelbert Louis Hector Alfred b[ar]on de Richemont" give power to the solicitor Louis-Augustin de Plas "for me in my name, lodge against whomever I see fit, and in particular against Dame Marie Thérèse Charlotte de France Duchesse d'Angoulême, residing at Frohsdorf near Vienna (Austria), a legal claim for the purpose of declaring null and void an act from the Paris civil status registers dated twenty-four prairial year III (June 12, 1795), which falsely states the death of Louis Charles de France, Duke of Normandy, then Dauphin of France, under the name of Louis Charles Capet [....] to have my identity and filiation established both by title and by witnesses [...] in order to do all that will be necessary to restore to me the rights resulting from my status and quality as the legitimate son of the late Louis Auguste Roi de France et de Navarre and the late Dame Marie Antoinette"...
