Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) Painter picking up his brush, with a turbaned model (H. de Balzac, Le Chef-d'œuvre inconnu, pl. VII). 1927-1930. Etching. 276 x 192. Bloch 88; Geiser-Baer 129 II a. Very fine proof on ivory vellum, before bevels and before steeling, three of the corners rounded, annotated "Bon à tirer" and signed in pencil in the lower right-hand corner of the folio. Minor soiling and handling creases (consistent with a trial proof). Full margins [372 x 272]. Final edition of 135 proofs. A. Vollard éditeur. Stamp H. M. Petiet (Lugt 5031).
