Porcelain bowl with blue and white decoration of phoenix and dragon, metal handles, China, Kangxi period (1662-1722) The rounded body is decorated with two reserves, one featuring a dragon amidst flowering foliage and the other an hô hô or phoenix with the same background, both glazed in blue underglaze. The neck is decorated with alternating clouds and precious objects: the sacred jewel, the books, the sound stone and the mirror. Two holes have been drilled on each side to insert movable metal handles. Height: 16.3 cm; opening diameter: 16.8 cm Crack, chips on neck.
