Pair of three-color enameled cookie Fô dogs, mounted in gilt bronze, China, Kangxi period (1662-1722) for the cookie. Enameled in yellow, green and manganese, the dogs are depicted seated on a terrace, one paw resting on an openwork brocade ball, mouth open. Originally incense wand holders, they were mounted in Europe as candleholders: the gilded copper alloy base is embellished with small flowers and rests on four feet adorned with a shell at each corner. The wicks are in the form of acanthus leaves. Height: 27.5 cm Damage, missing parts and restorations.
