Pair of large baluster-shaped porcelain vases with poly-lobed necks, China, Canton, 19th century Polychrome enameled in the famille rose style, the background decorated with flowers, fruit and birds, and in large panels with generals seated on terraces, surrounded by their subjects or watching horsemen and soldiers below. Chi dragons are molded on the shoulders and two phoenixes adorn the collars. A frieze of ruyi decorates the bottom of the vases and flowers the inside of the collars. Height: 63.2 cm
