Small celadon nephrite incense burner with wooden lid, China, 19th century The incense burner is flanked by two dragon-shaped handles climbing to the top of the body, while their bifid tails adorn each side of the bowl. The rim of the body and the circumference of the circular foot are incised with a Greek frieze. The wooden lid is worked to fit the base perfectly, and is openwork with a flower motif. The carved nephrite handle depicts a Mandarin duck. Length: 10.8 cm; total height: 8.5 cm
