[MEGUILAH] Scroll of Esther. Hebrew manuscript on parchment in a leather and cardboard case. Ashkenazi handwriting of fine quality and well blackened. Late 19th or early 20th century. The case is heavily worn. Two holes in the lower margin which do not affect the text. Parchment height: 46 cm Given the quality of the writing and the size of the meguilah, it could have been used for the reading of Esther in a synagogue.
