Set of three typed and signed letters on headed paper:
- One double-sided sheet, dated and located in London 1948.
- One recto-verso sheet, dated and localized in Paris, 1953.
- One recto-verso sheet, dated and localized in Paris, 1954. Filing holes.
In these letters to Ari [Wohlgemuth], Elie Munk speaks highly of the book Wohlgemuth has written, but makes it clear that he does not believe the French public can benefit from its content, as it is written in German.
Rabbi Élie Munk was rabbi of the Adas Yereim synagogue, also known as the "Rue Cadet synagogue" or the "Strict Observance Israelite community" in Paris, and has written numerous books.
Ari Wohlegemuth has published several books, including one on the religious and philosophical issues raised by the extermination of Jews during the Second World War.
