Eugène LEPOITTEVIN (1806-1870) Charges et décharges Diaboliques, circa 1830. Part of a suite of six lithographs (of twelve) in black, comprising 21 free subjects framed with three fillets and titled, on vellum. Full margins. Freckles and stain on "Grande chasse". 27.5 x 37.8 cm As rare as they are famous, these spiritually composed prints were ordered destroyed by the Seine Assize Court on August 30, 1837.
