Two blue-and-white decorated porcelain baluster-form jugs, China, 19th century - One in cracked porcelain, decorated with pavilions in a lake and mountain landscape with clouds, rocks and trees, featuring four figures representing the four noble professions: woodcutter, fisherman, peasant and scholar. Four dog-head handles at the top of the body and two stylized friezes on the shoulder and around the neck. Chenghua apocryphal mark with four characters on the base. Height: 38 cm Cracks and firing defects. - The other in white porcelain, decorated with a lake and mountain landscape with trees, rocks and pavilions, featuring five characters: a fisherman on a sampan, a scholar seated at the water's edge, a woodcutter carrying his faggots, a scholar and his assistant on a bridge and a peasant on his buffalo. Four dog-head handles at the top of the body and two stylized friezes on the shoulder and around the neck. Unglazed base. Height: 36.5 cm Neck cut.
