Alexander ROSLIN (Malmö 1718 - Paris 1793) Portrait of Antoine Gaspard Grimod de la Reynière (1687 - 1754) Oval canvas 73 x 58.2 cm Inscribed in chalk on the stretcher "Goudenaux". (Old restorations) Remake of Roslin's painting in the Musée Jacquemard André (Gunnar W. Lundeberg, Malmö 1957, image 74, text 198, p.40). The painting is a portrait of Antoine Gaspard Grimod de la Reynière, French financier, born in Lyon on October 20, 1687, died in Paris on February 10, 1754.
