VACHÉ (Jaqcues). Lettres de guerre. Paris: Au Sans Pareil, 1919. - In-12, 190 x 140: (4 ff. first blank), V pp., (1 f.), 32 pp., (4 ff. last blank), illustrated cover. Paperback. Posthumous first edition published by André Breton eight months after Jacques Vaché's death. Breton, the main recipient of these letters, also wrote the preface. The two men met in Nantes in late 1915. They corresponded between 1916 and 1918. The edition is illustrated with a full-page drawing by Jacque Vaché. One of 30 numbered copies on Hollande Van Gelder, the second paper after 10 copies on japon ancien. A very well-preserved copy, despite the lightly sunned front cover and spine.
