Curious conversation with his friend, who acts as matchmaker, as Rouault, after three months of torment, prepares to "start dancing again". Apart from the religious question and a lack of inclination on his part, his correspondent had perfectly understood what he needed. Rouault declared himself ready to forego a dowry: "I may seem a little ridiculous, but I've always thought that with tastes as difficult as mine to satisfy, if I found someone in a situation different from mine that I liked and that she liked me, I'd leave this 'money' question aside.
