At the Galerie Jeanne Bucher exhibition in 1958, Bissière presented a series of 34 oils on paper on the theme of the Four Seasons, of which our work is one. It is a "sort of diary of daily life that the artist creates for himself. This 'road book' marks Bissière's path through these landscapes, where nature and the poet exchange souls".
