ÉMILE GALLÉ (1846-1904) Iris Ophrys Bee Large baluster vase with silver-ringed neck. Proof in green-tinted glass with scattered tortoiseshell marbling, decorated in part with polychrome enamel and in part with acid etching followed by patina or gilding. Three flower hearts are represented by polychrome-enameled glass cabochons, modeled and hot-glued. The neck is entirely encircled in silver with repoussé floral motifs. Circa 1900. The bottom cracked, the part under the hoop could not be examined, the silver hoop possibly not original. Marked Cristallerie Émile GALLÉ Nancy - Model and decoration engraved under the base.
