[COIFFURES]. [Recueil de coiffures]. S.l., [1785]. - Small in-12, 135 x 93 : 18 plates. Brown half-chagrin, dominoté paper boards, smooth mute spine (modern binding). Collection of 18 burin-engraved vignettes, including 6 of late 18th-century headdresses, mounted on strong paper. Each depicts four or five female busts with one or more hairstyles, probably taken from various small almanacs of the period. These 6 hairstyle vignettes are followed by 12 captioned vignettes in German, illustrating Shakespeare's Henry IV after Eschenburg. A good copy in modern binding. Provenance: comte Tresvaux de Berteux, with heraldic bookplate engraved by Agry.
