Part extracted from the Description des arts et métiers par l'Académie royale des sciences, illustrated with 5 plates designed in the manner of those in Diderot's Encyclopédie. A contemporary bound copy from the collection of François-Jean-Joseph Mols (1722-1790), an Antwerp bibliophile and art collector. Minor restorations to spine and corners, boards a little browned. Without title leaf. Provenance: François-Jean-Joseph Mols, with bookplate accompanied by the motto "Aeternum sub sole nihil", engraved by Saint-Aubin.
