Very interesting Italian manuscript of the ordinance regulating the clothing, equipment and armament of the royal troops of the Two Sicilies, collated from the original in Naples on December 7, 1789 by Riego Nasselli.
Regulations, weapons, uniforms and insignia of the various corps of the army of the Two Sicilies are described in great detail and in highly legible handwriting. The checkrooms of general officers, marshals and brigadiers are reviewed. The particular uniforms of each regiment in the national infantry are discussed.
Marginal notes are isolated from the body of the text by braces. A detailed table of contents appears on the last 3 pages.
The document is also illustrated with 5 original hand-drawn, colored and captioned fold-out plates, depicting costumes, decorations and weapons.
