Solange Lantier, born in 1906 in Issoudun, began drawing at the age of 68, after a life marked by painful ordeals. Encouraged by a friend, she created a world of fantastical figures that brought her joy and consolation. Discovered by Alain and Caroline Bourbonnais, then supported by Jean Dubuffet, her work became part of the Collection de l'Art Brut. Feeling alienated from the world of Art Brut, she gradually stopped drawing, devoting herself to music until her death in 1987.
