Original edition of this two-character play, first performed by Jean-Pierre Daras and Jean-Paul Cisife on France Culture, January 16, 1986. It is illustrated with 5 superb original full-page engravings by Peruvian-born artist and sculptor Albert GUZMÀN (1927-2017). To our knowledge, this is one of only two artist's books illustrated by him, after the one he produced in collaboration with Jean-Clarence Lambert in 1992. Limited edition of 40 copies on Arches wove paper. This one, numbered 2, is one of 5 with an original watercolor signed by the artist. The watercolor on this copy, measuring 279 x 345 mm, was executed on Japon nacré paper and depicts a face painted in black and gold. A perfectly preserved copy.
