French school of the first half of the 19th century Diana the Huntress Miniature on ivory, diameter when viewed: 7.2 cm on the lid of a tortoiseshell box mounted in gold and partly in gilded metal, the frame and base decorated with multicolored burgau pastilles on a dark blue enamel background. Marked with a man's head and a rooster on the frame (minor knocks, lid frame missing, frame to be refixed). Inside, a collector's label with black background: 207 D. 8.3 cm, H. 2.6 cm Total weight: 100 g.
