Attributed to Per KRAFFT l'AINE (1724 - 1793) Portrait of a Young Boy; Portrait of a Thoughtful Girl Pair of canvases 39 x 31 cm Old restorations We compare our two paintings with those by Per Krafft in the tradition of French intimist painting: Le jeune garçon lisant (Toile, 52 x 43 cm), dated 1762, once owned by Gustave III and now in the Stockholm National Museum; Le Portrait de la fille de l'artiste, Wilhelmine and Portrait d'un jeune garçon lisant (toile, 64 x 49 cm) dated 1758. Per Krafft was active in Paris in 1755. Through Alexander Roslin, he came into contact with Louis Michel Van Loo, Chardin and Greuze.
