Building on this experience, he opened his own workshop in 1966, turning out high-quality pieces, initially decorated by his wife Marie-France Bartolo. He later turned his attention to enamels, creating pieces with fluid, balanced lines, proof of his mastery of the gesture, rendered in muted, blue-green tones - like his poetic Oiseaux.
