Historical background:
Our work, originally conceived in 1970 by Nadia Léger and subsequently produced for her house in Gif-sur-Yvette, was intended, as the annotations on the "patterns" indicate, to be presented at the Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris and then exhibited in New York; according to our information, it was never offered for public viewing, although it was. Having passed into the hands of Nadia Léger's descendants, it was transported to the Léger estate in Lisores (now the Musée Fernand Léger), where it was dismantled and stored. On September 1, 2009, it was sold to its current owner by the family branch that had inherited it.
