Spines with gilt faux-nerfs, gilt cartouche decorated with mosaic fleurs-de-lis and the coat of arms of Paris gilt in the center, author and title in gold lettering. Top edge gilt. Covers preserved. Composed as follows: - Les pierres de Paris by George Cain, published in Paris by Flammarion in 1915. First edition. Covers preserved. 402 pages, with 133 illustrations and 6 antique and modern plans in B&W in and out of text. Minor rubbing to covers and spines, corners and edges dulled. Paper slightly foxed in the margins. A fine copy, however, with a fresh interior. - Nouvelles Promenades dans Paris by Georges Cain, published in Paris by Flammarion s.d. (CIRCA 1910). 414 pages, with 135 illustrations and 20 antique and modern plans in B&W in and out of text, including 1 frontispiece. First edition. Minor rubbing. Paper slightly foxed in the margins. Fine copies of these two works by writer and painter Georges Cain (1856-1919), eminent curator of the Musée Carnavalet and connoisseur of Paris.
