Rare first edition of the fourth and final part of "Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes". It was serialized in La Presse in April-May 1847. It is followed by "Une rue de Paris et son habitant", also in first edition. A very fine copy bound by David, untrimmed. Volume 2 (pp. 6-7) lacks the third leaf, including the false title of the part reading: "Première partie. Les Mystères du préau (continued)". Some scattered foxing.
