Rare military subsistence mail plate. Gilt brass hoop with blue enamel central medallion marked in gold "courrier des subsistance militaire - République Française" and decorated in the center with a wheat sheaf, marked "cht roux". Copper reverse with two attachment loops.

A.B.E. (significant enamel restorations on the central part). Revolutionary period.
The inscription refers to the town of Châteauroux.
