Officer's flintlock pistol. Round barrel, banded on top, with thunder-engraved sides. Engraved and signed "JPierre Saigne" round-bodied lock with "drowned" battery spring and round-bodied footed hammer. Cut and engraved brass fittings (small hole in cap). Walnut stock (crack and chip to front of lock). Missing ramrod. A.B.E. (Mechanical accident). Circa 1780. Jean Pierre Saigne, active in 1780.
