PARIS 1784–1785 A large snuff box made of 750° yellow gold,°° in an oval shape with a hinged lid, featuring a classic guilloché design of striations and dots within geometric frames around the rim and on the lid, in a concentric pattern alternating rows of leaves and a laurel wreath framing a central oval medallion featuring scrollwork. Hallmarks: two marks: a lapwing’s head and two intertwined Ls; the master goldsmith’s mark is present but difficult to interpret; only the letter A is identifiable. H.: 3 cm - L.: 8.4 cm – W.: 6 cm Net weight: 142 g
