A 950°/°° silver cigarette case with vertical gold bands and its flint lighter bearing the embossed monogram of Edward VII (1841–1910) in gold enamelled in white and blue, studded with diamonds cut in the rose cut and surmounted by the royal crown set with rubies. London, 1905–1906. Gross weight: 164 g - H.: 10.2 cm – W.: 6 cm Included is: a letter in French from Edward VII’s secretary, on royal letterhead, dated at the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, dated April 13, 1908, thanking the Marquis d’Arcangues on behalf of the King of England for his hospitality in the Basque Country.
