All the works presented in this catalog come from the Château du Perthuis,
the historic stronghold of the Baron de Triqueti family since the late 18th century. On the death
death in 1874, the château was occupied by his brother Eugène's widow, Marie
Margaron until 1883. Henry's daughter Blanche, very attached to the château of her childhood
memory of her father and her younger brother Edouard (accidentally killed
in 1861), took over the château and carried out an active renovation campaign until her death
in 1886. Her husband, Edward Lee Childe, became the owner, followed by his second wife, Marie de Sartre.
Childe's second wife, Marie de Sartiges. Le Perthuis has remained in the family
family ever since.
