Fortuné Joseph Petiot-Groffier (1788-1855) Hôpital de Chalon-sur-Saône, 1853. Épreuve sur papier salé, d’après négatif papier, montée en charnière. 24 x 34 cm Petiot-Groffier, dont le laboratoire a été découvert intact en 2007, était bien connu à Chalon pour son art de prendre des photographies. C’est ainsi qu’en 1853, ayant appris qu’on avait décidé de démolir la grand’nef de l’hôpital de Chalon, la toute jeune Société d’Histoire et d’Archéologie demanda à Petiot-Groffier de faire des points de vue généraux de l’édifice.
