Jansenist black box, smooth back, first lining of black morocco decorated with intersecting vertical and horizontal gilded fillets, three black box bands set in gold, and a recessed gilded metal plate (21 x 16 cm) lacquered by Jean Dunand, representing a falcon in polychromy on a gold background, second lining of red morocco decorated with horizontal and vertical intersecting gold fillets and two horizontal stripes of black box set in gold, red moiré silk guards for the first and black for the second, gold edges on witnesses, cover and back preserved, shirt with back and overlapping stripes of black morocco, lined with brown suede , case (F.L. Schmied - Dunand). Beautiful edition initiated by E. Charbonneaux and prepared by François-Louis SCHMIED (1873-1941), who illustrated it with 54 compositions or ornaments in colour text and 12 colour plates bearing the artist's printed signature . Unique edition of 150 numbered copies on Arches wove paper, signed by the artist. This is copy No. 1. It has been enriched in the body of the work with 2 original gouaches signed by Schmied, for plates 3 and 11 of the book, and, apart from a volume in black half-maroquin by Georges Cretté, with a series of illustrations in black on japan (marked "de l'ex. n° 90 "), the original gouache signed from the first plate, and 4 pages of the original layout, signed in two places in pencil by Schmied, consisting of the text printed, cut out and pasted, accompanied by 3 large gouache bands as well as the ends of lines.
