DIJON 1779 - 1780 Pair of silver toilet candlesticks. The square base rests on four claw feet, the start of the shaft is chiselled with a frieze of laurel, the fluted shaft is enhanced with knots of falling foliage drapery. Complete with bobèches, not punched but engraved with the arms of Marie Pérard, wife of Louis Janon, Parliament Counsellor, Commissioner for Requests in Dijon, as well as on the reverse of the candlesticks. They keep in the bobèches the system of pushers allowing to push back the melted wax.
