First edition of this sought-after monograph on Marc CHAGALL (1887-1985). It is decorated, apart from numerous reproductions of works and photos in black and in colour, with 15 original lithographs, including one on the dust jacket, one on the title and 13 off-text (11 in colour and 2 in black). Four of the off-texts are on double page.
Unsigned lettering on the false title, possibly in Chagall's hand.
Small tears to the dust jacket and to the rhodoïd.
