GUITRY (Sacha). Un soir quand on est seul. Paris : L'édition française illustrée, 1947. - In-4, 323 x 260 : (8 ff. first blank), 44 pp. (4 ff. last 2 blank), printed cover. Blue paper boards with stars decoration, smooth spine, silver head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (Ateliers Laurenchet). New edition of this comedy in one act and in free verse first performed on June 2, 1917 at the Bouffes-Parisiens theatre and revived at the Madeleine theatre on May 23, 1930. It is illustrated with 33 etchings by Jacques TOUCHET, including one in the frontispiece and the others in the text, printed on Georges Visat's hand-presses and hand-enhanced by Maurice Beaufumé. The edition was limited to 319 copies plus some nominative copies reserved for the author, the artist and their friends. ONE OF THE NOMINATIVE COPIES, SPECIALLY PRINTED ON JAPON FOR THE PRINTER GEORGES VISAT. It is enriched with a complete suite of the black illustrations on japon, a suite of 29 of the 33 etchings on Lana vellum, as well as Sacha Guitry's autograph signature followed by this autograph letter signed by Jacques Touchet, accompanied by an original drawing : à Georges Visat qui a repêché // toutes mes mauvaises gravures, // remerciements et amitiés de // J . TouchetNice copy bound at the request of Jacques Crépineau who has enriched it with the following pieces, mounted on tabs: - Sacha Guitry's autograph manuscript, one page in-4, of the beginning of the one-act à-propos entitled La Nuit d'avril, with erasures, - original photograph in silver print from the Manuel frères studio, representing one of the scenes of the play during its revival in 1930 with the 5 performers including Sacha Guitry and Yvonne Printemps, - program of the 1917 play at the Bouffes-Parisiens theater, - program of the 1940 play at the Madeleine theater . A very well preserved copy.
