The Brave Moor Gazul was the first one who fought bulls according to the rules of art. (Bullfighting, pl. 5). 1816. Etching, aquatint and drypoint. 350 x 250. 228 Delteil; 208 Harris. A very fine proof on soft white laid paper, of the first edition, before the bevels (the only edition during the artist's lifetime). Very light freckling. Small epidermis in the sky on the right. Nice margins [412 x 287].
