4 z'ArtsThéo Sardnal (1898-1984). Diploma for the year 1925 (School of Fine Arts). Photomechanical process. Exceptional set of 4 diplomas printed on vellum [ca. 390 x 520], bearing the author's name "Sardnal / At[elier] Perret", one extensively illuminated with gouache. Joint: same subject (other version). Photomechanical process. 3 proofs including 2 on vellum, one largely retouched in gilt bronze ink, another on gilt bronze tinted cardboard vellum retouched in India ink, accompanied by the preparatory drawing in India ink on tracing paper. Minor accidents and wear of time. Pinholes in the corners of some plates. 8 p. set. Theodosius, known as Theo, Sardnal was an architect. He entered the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1921 after several attempts. He was a student of Auguste Perret and, in 1923, co-founded the Perret studio. When he completed this degree, he was 26 years old and still a student. He later collaborated with Perret on the reconstruction of Le Havre.
