Covered vase inspired by archaic lei bronzes in copper and polychrome cloisonné enamels embellished with jade plaques, China, 20th centuryThe vase is decorated with decorative friezes of archaic inspiration. In the center, on a turquoise background adorned with Greek, kui dragons confronted in pursuit of the sacred pearl around four carved jade medallions, and two kui friezes on a green background. The shoulder is provided with two small golden pseudo-rims in the shape of mythical animals' heads and the top of the neck is decorated with friezes with archaic motifs and stylized lotus petals. The oval lid, decorated with foliage and lingzhi head, is topped by a small carved jade elephant. Height : 23 cm
